India records 24-hour spike of 76,472 COVID-19 cases, Recoveries cross 26 lakh

India on Saturday registered highest single-day spike of 76,472 new cases of COVID-19 infections and 1,021 fatalities. The COVID-19 case tally climbs to 34.63 lakh which includes 7,52,424 active cases, 26,48,998 cured cases and 62,550 deaths, as per the Union Health Ministry data. The recovery rate has been recorded at 76.47 per cent.
