India suspends all tourist visas from 13 March to 15 April to prevent coronavirus spread

All existing visas, except diplomatic, official, UN/international organizations, employment, project visas, stand suspended till 15th April 2020, a statement issued by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare said. The order will come into effect from 1200 GMT on March 13. The move to suspend all tourist visas came to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the country. WHO also declares COVID19 a pandemic.
