India to acquire 30 armed drones from US amid rising tensions with Pak, China

In a bid to counter China and Pakistan amid the increased activities across the border, India is all set to purchase 30 armed drones from the United States to beef up the sea and land defenses. The $3 billion deal for the purchase of 30 MQ-9B Predator drones manufactured by San Diego-based General Atomics is likely to be approved next month. The deal is in line with PM Modi's mission to modernize the military in a decade.
