India, US reiterate commitment to raise $100 billion to fight climate change

India and United States have vowed to fight climate change together. The two countries have reaffirmed their committment to raising $100 billion annually from public and private sectors for the cause. Dealing with climate change was among the key agendas at a meeting of the India-US Economic and Financial Partnership on Thursday. India was represented by finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman while Janet Yellen represented US.
