India falls 43 places on World Giving Index, Indonesia most generous

India has been placed at 124th position, after falling down 43 spots, on the World Giving Index. Scoring much less than its neighbours, India still has the highest number of people volunteering time to support a cause and people donating money to charity. India also has the second highest number of people helping a stranger. The survey for the Index was carried out in 146 countries and Indonesia took the top spot.
