India's active Covid-19 cases witnessed decline but number of confirmed cases still increasing

Amid the rising number of confirmed coronavirus cases in India, active COVID-19 cases witnessed a decline for the first time on Saturday as compared to the previous day. India had 86,422 active coronavirus cases on Saturday morning as against the 89,987 reported on Friday morning. The number of persons discharged from the hospital also witnessed a steep increase by 11,264 with the total number of recoveries stood at 82,370.
