India's COVID-19 tally cross 24-lakh mark after 64,553 fresh cases, Recoveries cross 17 lakh

India on Friday reported single-day spike of COVID-19 with 64,533 new cases of infections and 1007 fatalities. India's tally rose to 24,61,190 including 6,61,595 active cases, 17,51,555 discharged and 48, 040 deaths, as per Union Ministry of Health data. The total number of cured cases are 17,51,555 taking the recovery rate to 71,17%. The case fatality rate in the country has declined to 1.96 per cent.
