Indore's Temple to pay Rs 2 crore penalty for depositing banned notes

Indore-based lord Hanuman temple, which is a 132-year-old temple has been under the radar of the income tax department. The temple has been issued a notice to pay a tax of Rs 2 crores for depositing 26 lakhs in the banned notes. The IT department of the country has imposed a whopping tax penalty of 77% on the total deposited amount by the administration of the temple. This notice was first given in November 2017.
