Iran exchanges jailed British-Australian academic with Australia for three citizens

Iran exchanged jailed British-Australian academic, Kylie Moore-Gilbert with three Iranian citizens on Wednesday. Gilbert was serving a 10-year sentence for espionage charges whereas, the Iranian citizens were detained for trying to circumvent US sanctions reimposed in 2018. Gilbert was arrested at Tehran airport by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in September 2018. She had denied espionage charges.
