Islamic Jihad commander killed in Israeli airstrike in Gaza
Israel forces killed a senior Islamic Jihad commander Bahaa Abu el-Atta in Gaza early Tuesday in an airstrike. The militant group said the commander’s wife was also killed in the airstrike and that their children were wounded. Military spokesman Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus said the operation had been planned long ago. The grounded commander had threatened to unleash a fierce round of cross-border violence with Palestinian militants.
