Japan's military budget raised for ninth consecutive term to $52 billion

Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga-led Japan government has approved another increase in the defense budget. The military budget of Japan has been raised to a record 5.34 trillion yen ($51.7 billion) with an increase of 1.1% from last year, to counter expansionist China. This marks the ninth consecutive rise in military spending of Japan. Japan is eyeing the acquisition of new planes, missiles and aircraft carriers.
