Deputy Collector prints Son's wedding cards on hankies to reduce plastic

Selvamathi Venkatesh, a special deputy collector in Kancheepuram decided to change the trend at her son Balajji's wedding in Tiruchy and printed the wedding cards on a handkerchief, in order to reduce plastic. She says she used to feel bad upon seeing fancy wedding cards as they serve no purpose. So, they decided to design the card on cloth; after 2-3 washes the print will fade away and will look like a regular handkerchief.
