26-year-old Kannad playback singer Susmitha reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her mother's residence in Malagala near Nagarabhavi in Bengaluru on Monday, according to what reports say. The singer took the fatal step after being harassed by her in-laws and husband Sarthak Kumar for the dowry. Hours before committing suicide, the singer sent a WhatsApp message to her brother and mother.
