Kargil 'hero' MiG-27 roars in the sky for one last time today

The Mikoyan-Gurevich 27 (MiG-27), which played a key role in India's triumph during the Kargil war was decommissioned by the Indian Airforce today. The last squadron of seven planes roared through the skies for the last time. The fighter jet, popularly known as 'Bahadur' took-off for the last time at the Jodhpur airbase where the only IAF squadron that operates the MiG 27 is based. It was also a part of operation 'Parakram'.
