Karnataka government reduces traffic fines introduced by the Central Government

Karnataka joins the list of states that slashed the hefty traffic fines introduced by the Central Government under the Motor Vehicle Amendment 2019, joining the likes of Gujarat and Uttarakhand. The fines have reduced to about 30-50%. The notice was issued regarding the reduction in a fine by the transport department after the Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa said that he would cut down the steep fine amounts.
