Kerala Govt to ban production, sale & use of single-use plastic products from Jan 2020

The Kerala government has declared that it will ban the production, sale and use of single-use plastic products from Jan 2020. The decision was taken by CM Pinarayi Vijayan in view of environmental and health hazards caused by discarding plastic after a single usage. The banned plastic products include carry bags, plastic sheets for tables, cooling films, plates and cups, plastic garbage bags, plastic packets & pet bottles.
