Kerala Nurse who treated Nipah patient conferred National Florence Nightingale Award

Lini Puthussery, the nurse from Kerala who died due to the Nipah virus was recently awarded the Florence Nightingale Award. The award was presented by President Ram Nath Kovind and it was received by her husband Sajeesh P. The president also thanked her for her efforts and even acknowledged the contributions of the entire nursing community. He further added that nurses indeed are symbols of "seva, shushrusha and karuna.
