Kolkata all set to make 'world’s cheapest metro' operational

Kolkata is all set to make it operational with the 'world's cheapest metro service' this week after the inauguration of a section of the East-West metro service on February 13. Moreover, a portion of the route will run underwater below the Hooghly river. The February 13 event will witness the inauguration of the elevated portion by Railways Minister Piyush Goyal but not the underwater route.
