Lakhimpur Kheri violence case to be heard by CJI-led Supreme Court panel

A three-judge Supreme Court bench led by Chief Justice of India NV Ramana will hear the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case today. Eight people including 4 farmers died in the incident in which, Union Minister Ajay Misra's son Ashish Misra has been booked. The protesting farmers alleged that Ashish Misra was sitting in the car that ran over marching farmers. 2 BJP workers and a journalist also died in the incident.
