According to a senior scientist at the Copernicus Climate Change Service, the smog that continues to engulf several Indian cities since October may continue until spring. The fog is reportedly reducing the life span of many individuals. "This winter haze could potentially continue until the spring when increased temperature and changes in the weather will help to dissipate the pollution," said Mark Parrington.
