12th century Buddha statue which went missing in 1961, returned by London police

A 12th century AD bronze Buddha statue was stolen from the A.S.I Museum at Nalanda in 1961. 57 years from then, the statue has now recovered by the London police which s now been handed back over. In early 2018, Art enthusiasts spotted the image at an auction organized by a London based dealer. Investigations revealed that the statue exchanged before eventually being consigned to a London dealer for sale.
