Lowest levels of consumption of beer in India of all Asia: Report

A report by BMI says that India has the lowest level of beer consumption in Asia. As per the report, it acts as a favourable outlook for the market in the country. The reasons for the low consumptions could be conservative attitudes, restrictions on sale in certain states, locally produced alcohol. An increase in duties or the regulations stated by the government can act as a risk to India’s developing beer market.
