Madhya Pradesh government on alert as bird flu detected in samples of dead crows

Madhya Pradesh government has swung into action after reports of mysterious deaths of crows across the state in the past few days. According to Animal Husbandry Minister Prem Singh Patel, 376 crows died in the state between December 23 and January 3. "Samples of dead crows have been sent to the state lab in Bhopal and bird flu virus has been confirmed in samples sent from Indore and Mandsaur," Patel said.
