Madras HC Chief Justice VK Tahilramani has resigned from her post after she was transferred to Meghalaya by the Supreme Court collegium earlier this month. The former judge sent a copy of her resignation to the CJI Ranjan Gogoi who accepted it on September 6. The President of India accepted the former judge's resignation and the Ministry of Law has appointed Justice Vineet Kothari to perform the duties of Chief Justice.
