Maharashtra accounts for the country's one-fourth active coronavirus cases

With the rising cases of the novel coronavirus in Maharashtra, the state recorded 126, 523 cases and 2,205 fatalities in the past one week. With 235,857 active patients, Maharashtra now accounts for more than one-fourth of the net active cases in the country. “From 171,542 cases two weeks ago on August 23, the number of active cases rose to 193,548 on August 30, and 235,857 on Sunday," a health department official said.
