Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday launched a jail tourism initiative in the state with an aim to help students and other citizens experience "vignettes from history". People will be able to understand the struggles of freedom fighters by visiting jails under the new initiative, Thackeray said in a statement. The initiative was launched from the 150-year-old Yerawada prison in Pune.
