Malware spread through Asus software update; affects 1m Windows systems

Kaspersky Labs reported Asus software spreads malware; that was sent as a critical software update & can affect around 1 million Windows systems. Hackers intentions were not clear but seemed to target specific Asus customers. The malware had instructions when detected; the update would install more malicious programs. Asus hasn't approached its customers nor taken any action to stop this malware; it will soon issue a statement.
