Syed Osman Azhar Maqsusi, a social activist from Hyderabad, received the Commonwealth Points of Light award for his project, "Hunger Has No Religion," which feeds around 1,500 people every day in five cities. When Maqsusi observed a fragile elderly woman outside the Dabeerpura overpass in Hyderabad's Old City, he decided to start the campaign. The award is presented to those who are having a positive impact on their communities.
