Man gets life imprisonment after he lied about hijack to get back his girlfriend

On Tuesday, a special NIA court in Ahmedabad announced life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5 crore to a Mumbai-based businessman for leaving a hijack threat note on a Jet Airways plane in October 2017. The judge said that the amount of fine will be given to the crew members and passengers on board the affected plane. The man confessed he did it to close its Delhi operation to bring back his girlfriend to Mumbai.
