Last year, a 49-year-old man who was arrested by police for drunken driving but had denied consuming alcohol was actually suffering from a disease. Danny Giannotto of New Jersey was pulled over by the cops. Baffled by the arrest, Danny decided to undergo some tests at a hospital and found his belly was brewing alcohol. It’s a rare condition called Auto-brewery Syndrome in which the stomach turns carbohydrates into alcohol.
