The blast in Beirut that turned the city into a stockpile of fallen buildings, was so massive that its shockwaves were felt 250 km away in Cyprus. In Cyprus, an island lying west of Lebanon, residents reported two large bangs in quick succession. Several citizens of Cyprus posted videos online to prove their claim. The blast could be seen from the coast of Cyprus and was heard as far as inland capital Nicosia.
