More than 600 UP villages affected by floods, 24 districts face excess rain

24 out of 75 districts in Uttar Pradesh have faced excess rains in the past few weeks, resulting in houses being partially submerged in parts of Prayagraj and several other districts. Over 600 villages in the state have been affected by the floods and connection to nearly 100 of those villages has been cut due to the flood situation. PM Narendra Modi also took a stock of the situation in Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency.
