More than 900 people ended their lives by committing suicide in Mumbai within 11 months

According to Mumbai Police data, more than 900 people living in Mumbai ended their lives by suicide between January and November this year. The majority of the people ending their lives between this period aged between 19-30 years. 10 percent of the people ending their lives were senior citizens. 371 people ended their lives when the city was under a complete lockdown. As many as 928 people committed suicide this year.
