In a strange incident, a Muslim cleric refused to solemnise two weddings in Kairana in the Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh, as he was displeased over loud music being played and the grooms dancing atop their cars. "I saw the grooms dancing to the music on the roof of their vehicles. They were to marry two sisters at the same venue," said Maulana Qari Sufiyan. The family later managed to find another cleric.
