Myanmar's Chin state CM, over 9,000 others take refuge in India amid military coup

Salai Lian Luai, the Chief Minister of Myanmar's Chin state and 9,250 Myanmarese have taken shelter in India's Mizoram amid the military-led coup in the neighbouring country. Chin is a state in Western Myanmar that shares its borders with Bangladesh and Mizoram. Luai came to Champhai town in eastern Mizoram on Monday night. 24 Myanmarese lawmakers have also taken shelter in different districts of Mizoram.
