According to the researchers' meteorites that had crashed onto Earth billions of years ago contain sugar. The researchers have found sugars like arabinose, xylose and Ribose. Ribose is crucial as it plays an important part in human biology and exists in the RNA molecules. The discovery of ribose in meteorites also revealed that RNA evolved before DNA and the scientists have a clearer picture about how life may have formed.
