NASA satellite image shows the effect of climate change on Greenland glacier
NASA has released a set of images that shows the Greenland glacier transformation from 1972 to 2019. The images show the glaciers appearing in brownish grey in color in 2019, confirming the fact that the surface has melted. Compared to the 1972 pictures, there are plenty more rocks visible now which used to be covered in ice. One of the largest glaciers Helheim has retreated 4.7miles in last 50 years, according to data.
