NASA’s SOFIA discovers water on sunlit lunar surface for the first time

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA’s) Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA)on Monday confirmed that that it has found water on the sunlit surface of the Moon. According to SOFIA, water may be distributed across the lunar surface, and not limited to cold, shadowed places. The announcement was made by NASA's administrator Jim Bridenstine.
