New York City administration decides to open schools amid rising coronavirus cases

Schools in New York City are going to be reopened amid the rising cases of the novel coronavirus. Mayor Bill de Blasio made the announcement two weeks after ordering the closing down of schools due to a sudden surge in Covid cases. Some elementary schools and pre-kindergarten programs are going to reopen starting December 7. De Blasio further mentioned that schools for special-needs students are going to open starting December 10.
