New York court dismisses Nirav Modi's petition seeking dismissal of fraud allegations

A petition by fugitive diamond merchant Nirav Modi and his associates, that sought dismissal of fraud allegations against them, has been dismissed by a bankruptcy court in New York. Richard Levin, the court-appointed trustee of three US corporations--Firestar Diamond, Fantasy Inc and A Jaffe, made the allegations. Levin had moved the court seeking a minimum compensation of $15 million for “harm” suffered by the debtors of Modi.
