In a bid to make payment easier and travelling on highways convenient, the National Highway Authority of India may soon launch a Delhi Metro type prepaid touch-and-go card. This will not only make payment faster and convenient but also reduce cash transaction at the tolls. The expected cost of the prepaid card is Rs.50 and the card can be used only on “hybrid” lanes. NHAI is looking to reduce the cash transactions significantly.
