The National Human Rights Commission has taken suo motu cognizance of media reports that the 4 accused, arrested by the police in connection with the rape and murder of veterinarian doctor in Telangana, have died in an encounter with the police this morning and it will send a fact-finding team to the spot for inspection. Meanwhile, the centre has asked for a report from the Telangana government over the "custodial killing".
