Nirbhaya convicts hanging: Instances when midnight hearings were held in Supreme Court before hanging

All the four convicts of the 2012 gangrape murder case were hanged today at 5:30 am. The lawyer of the convicts left no stone unturned and pushed the Supreme Court for a midnight hearing. But this was not the first instance when SC had to have a midnight hearing ahead of a hanging. On 30 July, 2015, Yakub Memon's lawyer knocked the doors of SC at 3:15 am, ahead of his hanging. Same was done during Nithari case convict's hanging.
