Nizamuddin event: Government puts a ban on issuing tourist visa to foreign Tablighi activists

Following the revelations in the Tablighi Jamaat event at Nizamuddin area in Delhi that increased the chances of community transmission of coronavirus in Delhi, the government on Tuesday decided not to issue tourist visa to any foreigner who wishes to visit India and take part in Tablighi Jamaat activities. The home ministry told the Delhi Police Commissioner to caution the organisation's headquarters about the decision.
