Noida bus driver fined for not wearing a helmet

The owner of a private bus Nirankar Singh in Noida claims to have issued a fine of Rs 500 because the driver was not wearing a helmet. Singh said that the online challan was made on Sept 11 & will contest it in court if needed. He is concerned that such a mistake reflects poorly on the transport dept & raises questions on the working of a responsible dept. Officials are looking into the matter & will rectify the error.
