North England universities struck by coronavirus, more than 1,800 students, staff test positive

The novel coronavirus has entered the universities across the north-east of England. Over 1,800 students and staff from the universities have tested positive for the deadly disease during the past week. 1,003 students and 12 members of staff from Newcastle University have contracted the disease in the past week. Northumbria University reported 619 cases while Durham University confirmed 219 cases in the last week.
