Odisha government asked to notify 14 elephant corridors by NGT

The Odisha government has been directed by the National Green Tribunal to notify 14 elephant corridors in the state within the next two months. The order has been passed in view of the strong demands of elephant conservationists. The order was passed by the Eastern Zonal bench of NGT. NGT was approached by Wildlife conservationist Biswajit Mohanty who sought concrete action towards the identification of 14 corridors.
