The oil spill in Mauritius has left fishes dead and the coral affected heavily. It has now been days since oil was spilled from a wrecked Japanese tanker nearby affecting the coral reefs. As per the satellite images, the 1,000 tonnes of spilled oil is spreading northward along the coastline from the spill site in the turquoise waters of Blue Bay Marine Park. Scientists fear the oil spill may impact Mauritius's economy for decades.
