Only BS-VI compliant vehicles will be sold from April 2020: Supreme Court

Supreme Court on Wednesday has said that only vehicles compliant with BS-VI fuel standard will be sold in the country from April 2020. At present, India uses Euro IV compliant fuels which is also known as the Bharat Stage IV fuel and from April 2020 it will be changed to Euro VI level fuel. No vehicles that can only use Bharat stage IV fuel will be registered from 1st April 2020, SC concluded.
