According to a report by the non-profit Rainforest Foundation Norway, two-thirds of the world’s original tropical rainforest cover has either been destroyed or degraded due to human activities. 34 percent of the world’s original old-growth tropical rainforests have been wiped out due to activities like logging and land conversion. Another 30% of the world's tropical rainforests have been left degraded.
